Don Quijote Akihabara is especially well-known because it houses the AKB48 Theater. Located on the 8th floor of the building, the theater has a capacity of around 250 people (including both seated and standing areas). The stage is very close to the audience, embodying AKB48’s concept of “idols you can meet.” Since its opening on December 8, 2005, performances by various AKB48 teams or trainees have been held there almost daily.
