Yokogawa Station, located in Yokogawa-cho 3-chome, Nishi Ward, Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, is a transportation hub jointly served by West Japan Railway Company (JR West) and Hiroshima Electric Railway (Hiroden).
Within the JR West network, Yokogawa Station is served by the Sanyō Main Line and functions as the starting point of the Kabe Line. Although the Kabe Line is officially designated to begin here, in practice all trains continue to Hiroshima Station. The station number for the Sanyō Main Line here is JR-R03, and for the Kabe Line it is JR-B03.
On the Hiroshima Electric Railway side, the station is served by the Yokogawa Line, with the stop number Y04. As it accommodates both JR and Hiroden services, Yokogawa Station is an important transfer point within the city, allowing passengers to conveniently connect between different transportation systems.
