Although Tainan’s Garden Night Market does not have the long-standing history of some of Taiwan’s older night markets, it rapidly expanded to nearly 400 stalls in a short time, making it the largest in Tainan and one of the most well-known night markets in all of Taiwan. In 2013, it was even ranked 12th among Facebook's most popular global check-in locations. The market is divided into four main zones by function: gourmet snacks, trendy fashion, specialty goods, and leisure entertainment. To catch the attention of visitors, many vendors hang eye-catching banners above their stalls, creating a striking sea of flags. This impressive scene resembles the formation of armies during the Warring States period, becoming one of the market's most iconic features.
