Taipei Lumitree
Taipei Lumitree, also known as “Forest of Dunhua,” is an urban art and beautification project located along Dunhua South Road in Taipei. Developed by Kai Yueh Construction, the installation is situated in the plaza on the ground floor of the Baohong Dunhua Commercial Building. The space is centered around a ten-meter-high LED media wall and illuminated light columns, creating one of Taiwan’s largest and highest-resolution outdoor LED light corridors.
More than simply a piece of installation art outside a commercial building, Taipei Lumitree functions like a flowing corridor of light and visual art woven into the cityscape. Through collaborations with emerging artists, digital imagery, animation, and lighting design are integrated into the building façade, transforming what was once a busy urban streetscape into a futuristic public space filled with artistic atmosphere. After nightfall, the massive light wall and glowing columns shift in color and rhythm according to the programmed visual performances, giving passersby the sensation of walking through a living, breathing forest of light.
