Inamuragasaki

Address: Inamuragasaki
Inamuragasaki

Inamuragasaki (稲村崎) is a cape located in the southwestern part of Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture, situated between Yuigahama and Shichirigahama. The writing “稲村ヶ崎” is typically used for historical contexts or as the name of a nationally designated historic site. However, as a place name, due to the implementation of the residential addressing system, it has been changed to Inamuragasaki 1-chome through Inamuragasaki 5-chome.

It is said that the name originated from the area’s appearance, which resembles bundles of stacked rice ears. Since ancient times, the area has been known for producing high-quality iron sand and may have once served as a center for iron refining.
