It serves as the terminal station of the Shōnan Monorail Enoshima Line. Although the words "Shōnan" and "Enoshima" in the station’s name often evoke images of seaside leisure and tourism, Shōnan-Enoshima Station is actually the farthest from the coast among the three stations near the Enoshima area. Therefore, compared to stations closer to Enoshima’s tourist spots, this station is primarily used by local residents and commuters, with fewer tourists.
