Kaohsiung Exhibition Center

Kaohsiung Exhibition Center (KEC), located in the heart of Kaohsiung’s Asia New Bay Area, was formerly known as the "Kaohsiung World Trade Exhibition and Convention Center." It is situated within the Kaohsiung Multi-Functional Commerce and Trade Park on the site of the former CPC Corporation's Chenggong Plant, covering 4.5 hectares. KEC is the premier professional exhibition and convention venue in southern Taiwan.

The center is fully equipped with space for 1,500 standard booths and a variety of multifunctional meeting rooms, including a grand hall for 2,000 attendees, two mid-sized rooms for 800 people, and ten smaller rooms for 20–40 participants. It also offers a spacious outdoor area for versatile and creative event uses.

Designed collaboratively by Lee Ming Construction, COX Architects (Australia), and Liu Peisen Architects (Taiwan), construction began in October 2011 and was completed in October 2013. Operations officially began in early 2014 under Kaohsiung Exhibition Center Co., invested by Uniplan Taiwan. It is Taiwan’s first exhibition center certified as a smart building and has received candidate certificates for seven green building indicators, embodying eco-friendly and sustainable development principles.

In 2021, KEC became the first venue in Taiwan with a dedicated 5G private network, integrating the latest event technologies and offering innovative solutions combining “professional venues × tech applications.” It supports all types of events—exhibitions, conferences, or public performances—with advanced capabilities and flexibility.

Whether for international exhibitions, business summits, cross-industry events, or large-scale shows, KEC provides top-tier facilities, smart services, and a professional team, serving as an international platform and a gateway to globalization for southern Taiwan’s MICE industry.
