Heart of Love River is located near the intersection of Bo'ai 1st Road and Tongmeng 1st Road in Kaohsiung City, along the mid-upper section of the Love River. It consists of two artificial flood detention lakes—East Lake and West Lake—connected by an aerial bridge. From above, the lakes and bridge form a heart shape, giving the park its name.
The park spans approximately 1.4 square kilometers and integrates landscape aesthetics with water resource management. East Lake is shallower and serves as an ecological pond that mimics a natural habitat for aquatic life, while West Lake is deeper and functions as a flood basin with a pier for sightseeing boats, blending ecological and recreational functions.
At night, the area comes alive with fountain lights and ambient lighting. The bridge’s white railings reflect heart-shaped patterns, creating a romantic scene like jewelry shining on the river, making it one of Kaohsiung’s most iconic nightscape spots.
Easily accessible by MRT, bus, car, or boat, the park also features bike and pedestrian paths, making it an ideal destination for leisure, sightseeing, and connecting with nature both day and night.
