MetroWalk Shopping Center

MetroWalk Shopping Center, located in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan, is a well-known large-scale commercial landmark in the area. Since its opening in 2001, it has been the top choice for local residents in Zhongli for leisure and shopping. The overall development cost reached NT$4.8 billion (with approximately NT$2.3 billion in construction expenses and NT$2.5 billion in land acquisition), making it a massive and multifunctional facility.
Strategically, MetroWalk has established a strong partnership with Canal City Hakata (キャナルシティ博多), a renowned commercial complex in Fukuoka, Japan. Its management team receives guidance from the consulting division of Fukuoka Jisho Co., Ltd., bringing in Japanese expertise in commercial space planning and marketing concepts.
Inside the shopping center, there are multiple flagship and anchor stores, including Eslite Bookstore, GiGO, Studio A, and the SBC Starbridge Cinemas, offering a one-stop experience that blends culture, technology, and entertainment. Notably, the Japanese gaming giant SEGA also chose this location to launch the first overseas branch of its theme park brand Joypolis.
