Jiaobanshan

Jiaobanshan Park, also known as "Fuxing Park," is located on the southwestern side of Jiaobanshan and spans a vast area. The park is home to over a dozen towering maple trees that turn a brilliant red in late autumn, creating a poignant and captivating scene that often draws visitors to pause, reflect, and admire. In addition, the park features ancient pine trees and dense groves of old plum trees. During the blooming season, the entire park is adorned with seas of pink and lush green blossoms, presenting a poetic and picturesque landscape that is truly enchanting. Along the park path stand two banyan trees personally planted by Chiang Kai-shek and his wife, adding a layer of historical significance.
To enhance the artistic and cultural atmosphere of Jiaobanshan and align it with international art trends, the Taoyuan City Government invited 12 internationally renowned artists—including Hsuan-Chih Wu—in 2003 (the 92nd year of the Republic of China) to create public art installations throughout the park. As a result, Jiaobanshan became the first sculpture park in Taiwan that integrates nature with art and serves as a venue for public art education. These creative sculptures are skillfully blended into the surrounding natural scenery, successfully boosting the popularity of Jiaobanshan as a tourist destination.
