Guanyin Coastal Recreation Area

The Guanyin Coastal Recreation Area evolved from the former Guanyin Beach. In recent years, thanks to the city government’s coastal‑revitalization policy, this once‑desolate shoreline has been transformed into an up‑and‑coming leisure spot filled with a romantic vibe. The park’s biggest draw is the enchanting Windmill Beach, which also served as one of the filming locations for the idol drama “Love Around” (真愛黑白配).

Upon entering the park, the first thing you notice is a Mediterranean‑style seaside pavilion painted in soothing blue and white, creating a relaxed, carefree atmosphere. From the pavilion, you can take in the sweeping beach and the boundless ocean. On either side of the sands, large wind turbines spin in the breeze, their silhouette against the azure sea forming a picture‑perfect backdrop beloved by photographers.

Come dusk, many couples gather here to watch the sunset or stroll hand‑in‑hand along the golden sand. The afterglow paints their silhouettes in warm hues, crafting a cozy, romantic scene that makes this spot one of northern Taiwan’s unmissable coastal gems.
