Blueberry Village Kawaguchiko Natural Living Center

The Kawaguchiko Natural Living Center is located on the northern shore of Lake Kawaguchi, at the foot of Mount Fuji, and is part of Oishi Park. This small facility combines sightseeing, relaxation, and shopping, with its greatest charm being the magnificent view of the lake and Mount Fuji. On clear days, visitors can even witness the stunning “Upside-down Fuji,” where the mountain is reflected on the lake’s surface. Though the building itself is modest in design, its beautiful surroundings make it a popular stop for travelers.
Upon entering, guests are welcomed by a cozy shop offering a wide variety of local specialty products. From handmade jams and Mount Fuji-shaped cookies to handkerchiefs and socks adorned with Fuji motifs, the items make perfect souvenirs and gifts. Particularly noteworthy are the blueberry products, such as blueberry jam and blueberry ice cream, which are especially fresh and popular since the region is known for blueberry cultivation. The center also houses a café and an ice cream bar, where visitors can enjoy desserts or light meals while admiring Mount Fuji through large windows, savoring a moment of relaxation.
Getting to the Kawaguchiko Natural Living Center is convenient. From Kawaguchiko Station, it takes about 30 minutes by sightseeing bus, while those traveling by car can make use of the free parking lot, which accommodates nearly 100 vehicles. The center is open daily, though hours are slightly shortened during the winter, making it an easily accessible and inviting destination year-round.
