Onoyama Park is the first athletic park established in Okinawa Prefecture, opening in June 1959. With the motto "Integrating sports into daily life!", the park offers a variety of sports classes throughout the year, catering to a wide range of age groups from children to adults. Beyond its sports facilities, Onoyama Park serves as a central venue for major events such as the Okinawa Industrial Festival and the Naha Festival, making it a familiar and significant location in the daily lives of local residents.
The expansive park features a certified Class 2 athletics stadium, a 50-meter swimming pool, tennis courts, a Japanese archery range, and a multipurpose field, accommodating various sports needs with diverse usage options. Additionally, the park includes facilities like the Okinawa Prefectural Martial Arts Gym (Budokan), which hosts martial arts and ball games, as well as events like the Industrial Festival. The park's accessibility is enhanced by its proximity to Yui Rail stations and bus stops, providing convenient transportation options for visitors.
