Located on Sagami Bay, Manazuru Town sits in the southwestern part of Kanagawa Prefecture and is a popular destination known for water sports, scenic bay views, and its surrounding forests. One of its most famous annual events is the Kibune Festival, held every July at Kibune Shrine.

Manazuru Town is also home to the Arai Castle Ruins Park, a cherry blossom viewing hotspot in spring, surrounded by bamboo groves. In the evening, the park is illuminated, creating a stunning night-time cherry blossom scene perfect for photos and social media.

If you have a car, you can easily drive to Cape Manazuru, located at the tip of the Manazuru Peninsula Nature Park. From there, you can enjoy spectacular views of the Izu Peninsula, the Bōsō Peninsula in Chiba Prefecture, and the Izu Islands.

This area is also home to an art museum showcasing the works of renowned Japanese artist Kazumasa Nakagawa. Highly respected both in Japan and internationally, Nakagawa’s legacy makes the museum a must-visit. The museum houses a collection of 652 of his works, and also offers breathtaking views of the Manazuru Peninsula.
