With a small population, it forms an important part of the Tanzawa Mountain Range and boasts abundant natural beauty, including Lake Miyagase, refined architectural styles, and various seasonal events.
The village is surrounded by mountains and lakes, making it a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. In addition, Kiyokawa is known for its uniquely designed bridges, reflecting the local emphasis on architectural craftsmanship. Notable examples include the Water Village Suspension Bridge, the Miyagase Rainbow Bridge connecting to the Miyagase Dam, and the scenic Toriiwara Park and lakeside area. The view from Toriiwara Park is especially captivating, and some of the bridges have been selected as one of the "100 Famous Bridges of Kanagawa."
