The Anping Tree House is a well-known tourist attraction located in the Anping District of Tainan City, situated right next to the former Tait & Co. Merchant House. Originally, the building served as a warehouse for Tait & Co. Based on architectural elements such as the granite lintel, the stone foundations of the window frames, and the wooden roof trusses, it is believed to have been constructed in the late 19th century. Additionally, some of the bricks used in the building came from Fort Zeelandia. The most distinctive feature of the Anping Tree House is the way the structure intertwines and coexists with the sprawling roots and branches of banyan trees, creating a unique fusion of nature and human architecture.
