On a small country road in Chishang Township, Taitung, golden waves of rice sway gently in the breeze on both sides. This place gained fame after being featured in a Mr. Brown Coffee commercial and has since been dubbed the “Mr. Brown Boulevard.” At the heart of this boulevard lies a winding path, known as the spot where a famous celebrity once rode a bicycle for a commercial shoot. As you travel along, the endless stretches of lush green rice paddies swaying in the wind feel like walking on a “verdant road to paradise.”
The official name of Mr. Brown Boulevard is “Jinxin No. 3 Road,” a straight path flanked by vast green rice fields that gradually turn golden with the changing seasons. The golden waves of rice blend beautifully with the distant layered mountains, creating a postcard-like scenic view. Riding a bicycle or strolling through this boundless field offers a peaceful escape from the bustle of city life, allowing one to fully relax and immerse in the beauty of nature.
Next to Mr. Brown Boulevard stands a large, leafy Formosan rain tree with a broad canopy that complements the surrounding rice field scenery. This tree was once featured in a commercial segment about offering tea, and has since been nicknamed the “Tea Tree” (originally known as the Takeshi Kaneshiro Tree), attracting many fans and tourists who come to take photos and pay tribute.
