Lize Puppet Art Colony

Located in Yilan, the Lize International Puppet Art Village is the first art park in Taiwan centered around contemporary puppetry. It also serves as a model for revitalizing and reusing old granaries. Created with dedication by the Puppet & Its Double Theater, the village integrates nearly two decades of puppetry creation and artistic experience, shaping a creative base that combines production, performance, education, and interactive experiences.
The art village is not only a key cultural landmark in Yilan but also one of the few art communities in the world focused on the development of puppetry. The park is well-equipped, featuring a puppet exhibition hall, a professional puppet-making factory, artist studios, rehearsal rooms, and performance spaces, providing abundant resources and a broad stage for contemporary puppetry creation in Asia.
Through regular activities such as artist residencies, puppet workshops, international exchange performances, and educational outreach, the village is committed to promoting puppetry culture, allowing the public to experience the charm of puppet art up close. Additionally, the park hosts various themed in-depth tours and art festivals, such as “Granary Opening Day,” attracting visitors from both home and abroad.
