Dazhou Station

Dazhou Station is one of the ten stations along the Taipingshan Forest Railway. Compared to Tiensongpi Station, which is also located in Sanxing Township, Yilan County, Dazhou Station occupies a larger area and has a more spacious layout. The current station is a reconstruction on the original site, preserving its original appearance while incorporating historical and cultural elements, making it one of the most distinctive attractions in the area.
The station building exudes a strong sense of rustic charm, blending Japanese-style wooden architecture and preserving some historical artifacts for public viewing, such as old timetables and equipment. Inside the station is the Forest Railway Museum, which displays valuable materials and items related to the Taipingshan Forest Railway. It serves as an important window into the history of Taiwan's forestry and transportation. Visitors must contact the management in advance to arrange entry to the exhibitions.
Dazhou Station has also been used multiple times as a filming location for movies and TV dramas. One of the most well-known is the television series Autumn's Concerto (Next Stop, Happiness), in which the village chief's office in Huatian Village was filmed here.
