Katase-Enoshima Station is located in Katase Kaigan 2-chome, Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture, and serves as the terminus of the Odakyu Enoshima Line. Its station number is OE 16. As one of the transportation hubs in the Enoshima area, it is the only station among the three railway companies in the region that offers direct trains to Tokyo (Shinjuku Station), providing high convenience and making it an important stop for tourists visiting Enoshima.

The station is best known for its fantasy-style architecture, designed to resemble the mythical “Ryugu Castle,” which evokes themes of the ocean and legends. This distinctive appearance has made it a popular photo spot and local landmark. In 1999, Katase-Enoshima Station was selected as one of the "100 Best Stations in the Kanto Region" for its unique charm, beloved by railway enthusiasts and tourists alike.

As a terminus, the station is built at ground level and features two bay platforms and three tracks. The station layout emphasizes barrier-free access, with no elevation changes between the entrance, ticket gates, and platforms, thus no stairs or elevators are installed. Restrooms are located to the left inside the ticket gate for convenient access.

In terms of services, the station is equipped with automated ticket gates that accept smart cards such as PASMO and Suica, with the main entrance and exit located on the southeast side. However, during the peak summer beach season and large-scale events like the “Fujisawa Enoshima Fireworks Festival,” temporary ticket gates are opened and staff are deployed to accommodate large crowds.

As the gateway station to the tourist destination Enoshima, and to distinguish it from another station named “Enoshima,” Odakyu Electric Railway chose the name “Katase-Enoshima” to highlight its proximity to Katase Beach.
