Global NO₂ (Nitrogen Dioxide) AQI Map
This is an interactive global nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) AQI map that shows the local NO₂ concentration index in real time based on the user’s location. Users can also drag the map to explore NO₂ conditions worldwide, understand regional differences in air quality, and use it as a reference for travel and health protection.
What is Nitrogen Dioxide (NO₂)
Nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) is a harmful gas mainly produced by the combustion of fossil fuels, such as vehicle exhaust, industrial emissions, and power plants. NO₂ not only directly irritates the respiratory system but also contributes to the formation of ozone (O₃) and fine particulate matter (PM2.5), further worsening air quality. Short-term exposure to high concentrations of NO₂ may cause coughing, asthma, and respiratory irritation; long-term exposure can impair lung function and increase the risk of respiratory diseases, especially in children, the elderly, and people with asthma.
