Global O₃ (Ozone) AQI Map

This is an interactive global ozone (O₃) AQI map that displays the local ozone index in real time based on the user’s location. Users can also drag the map to explore ozone conditions worldwide, understand regional differences in air quality, and use it as a reference for travel and health protection.

What is Ozone (O₃)

Ozone (O₃) is a strongly oxidizing gas. In the upper atmosphere it protects the Earth from ultraviolet radiation, but near the ground it can harm health and the environment. Ground-level ozone is formed mainly when nitrogen oxides (NOx) and volatile organic compounds (VOC) undergo photochemical reactions under sunlight. Short-term exposure to high ozone concentrations may cause sore throat, coughing, and irritation of the eyes and respiratory tract; long-term exposure may affect lung function and the cardiovascular system, with higher risks for children, the elderly, and people with asthma.

AQI Level

  • 0-50 Good
  • 51-100 Moderate
  • 101-150 Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups
  • 151-200 Unhealthy for All
  • 201-300 Very Unhealthy
  • 301+ Hazardous
